About Us

Hooves, Paws, & Claws 4H Clube

The Hooves, Paws, & Claws 4-H Club meets the last Tuesday of each month at the Fort Russell Township Hall from 6:00 p.m.  to 8:00 p.m.  Our members are from 8-18 years old. The members elect officers, serve on committees, and run the meeting on their own. We work on projects that are shown at the county and state fairs. Members are involved in fundraising and community service projects throughout the year. In addition, each meeting members give talks or demonstrations for the group. A few time a year we take special trips or have presenters come to teach our group.

What is 4-H?

What do the four H's in 4-H Stand for?

4-H is a community of more than 6.5 million young people across America learning leadership, citizenship, an life skills.

The 4-H community also includes 3,500 staff, 538,000 volunteers, and 60 million alumni. 4-Hers participate in fun, hands-on learning activities supported by the latest research of land-grant universities that are focused on three areas: healthy living, citizenship, and science, engineering and technology. Youth can experience 4-H by becoming a member of a 4-H club, attending a 4-H camp, or joining school-based or after-school 4-H programs. 4-Hers can compete with their projects in contests at the local, state, regional and national levels, and also attend conferences and events.
